Résumé
This work presents the important applications of piezoelectric materials in the field of mechanical engineering in recent years. Studies on the development of smart structures using materials such as piezoelectric materials have been conducted worldwide. Piezoelectric materials have attracted interest in many mechanical engineering applications, due to their ability to generate electrical stress when subjected to mechanical stress, or generate mechanical stress when subjected to an electric field. In mechanical engineering applications, these materials are used as sensors and actuators in vibration control applications and control strategies, where they play an important role in managing vibrations and optimizing system performance. From this perspective, the mechanical engineering applications of piezoelectric materials in the field of mechanical engineering have been reviewed and discussed, especially with regard to their general properties and effectiveness. Finally, suggestions for future studies using piezoelectric materials were presented. The modeling of beam structures equipped with piezoelectric devices (actuators and sensors). In the case of a simple beam equipped with one piezoelectric actuator and one sensor, an analytical study can easily be developed; however, in the case of structures made of several beams equipped with multiple actuators and sensors, a separate model is necessary in order to take into account the piezoelectric effect. Moreover, most piezoelectric finite elements are three-dimensional or two-dimensional. The use of these finite element models in the case of beam structures is not optimal, especially for solving computationally expensive structural optimization problems using Matlab. The results of this model are presented in Chapter 3. For a potential control application, structure analysis in the commercial finite element program ANSYS is used to extract media shapes and eigenvalues. The results obtained by this method are good and show the effectiveness of active control. The results also show that the developed algorithm allows to estimate the structures correctly.
